Working hard for your area

Even where you don't have a Liberal Democrat Councillor for your ward, there are often hard-working Lib Dem campaigners raising issues affecting people in your area and happy to help you with any problem you may have.

University Ward

Gavin Barrass and Ryan Bate are the Lib Dem candidates for the University ward at the upcoming local elections. Both Gavin and Ryan have been active in the students union and their colleges.

"Both Gavin and I understand student issues because we are students - we know what students need because its what we need ourselves," says Ryan, "that said, we know what there is no such thing as an average student and both Gavin and I will continue to work hard to make sure all students are properley represented and provided for".

Gavin also commented, "I was an international student in Canada and I've also represented international students here at Lancaster whilst involved in the Union. Very often international students needs are overlooked and I am passionately committed to ensuring students needs are met regardless of nationality, gender, faith or sexual orientation".
